Which is the distribution of daily hours for Western (e.g. Benedictine) monks?
I've been searching for some reference to the "usual" distribution of hours in terms of sleep, prayer, reading, working, etc for Western monasteries but cannot find a good reference online. I've been searching for some reference to the "usual" distribution of hours in terms of sleep, prayer, reading, working, etc for Western monasteries but cannot find a good reference online. I've computed a distribution based on [this website](https://christdesert.org/prayer/rule-of-st-benedict/chapter-48-the-daily-manual-labor/) but it's very sketchy. I know things vary by rule (Benedictine vs others), by date (Second Vatican Council shortened the Divine Office), local customs, etc. But any rough measure would be of help. My attempt so far for a normal day (no Sunday, no Feast, ...):
- Work: 5 hrs
- Reading: 2 hrs
- Prayer (Mass + Divine Office): 6 hrs
- Rest: 8hrs
- Communal time (eating, meetings, etc): 3 hrs
Is anyone aware of a more "official breakdown" of this? Or perhaps can compute a better distribution?
PD: It's also true that in medieval times an hour wasn't fixed in 60 minutes but varied by the time of the year, a practice inherited from Roman times.

Most complete biblical genealogical chart?
Dutripon, [*Bibliorum Sacrorum Concordantiæ*][1] p[p. v][2]-xii gives a chronological table divided into six ages, numbered by years of the world (*anno mundi*) and years before Jesus Christ (*ante J. Ch.*). He says the creation of the first man and woman occurred in *anno mundi* 0 (=*anno ante...

Have any exegetes made similar tables, charts, or "family trees" chronicling genealogy beginning with Adam & Eve? What is the most comprehensive one ever made?

According to the LDS church, why was Jesus Christ born when he was born?

I am not aware of any reason why Christ needed to live when he did other than to fulfill prophecy, but that prophecy only exists because God had previously chosen the time for Christ's birth. So why?
The reason for Christ's life was to perform the Atonement , but I can't imagine the particular timing of it mattered much since it was an infinite atonement .
Another effect of the atonement is that it enabled missionary work in the spirit world as well as performing temple ordinances for them. Many spirits had to wait a few thousand years for this to happen. It seems like they might have preferred if Christ had lived earlier so that they didn't have to wait so long. One might say that time only exists on this earth and not in the world of spirits, so why then is genealogy and temple work so important?
I'm willing to accept that the answer to my question is "because God said so" but I would like to know if there happens to be more than that.

Has the Catholic Church made a list of events in the life of Jesus which took place in fulfillment of prophecies of the Old Testament?
There appears to be a number of events in the life of Jesus which took place in order to fulfill one prophecy or other of the Old Testament, but are not specifically quoted as such by the evangelists. There appears to be a number of events in the life of Jesus which took place in order to fulfill one prophecy or other of the Old Testament, but are not specifically quoted as such by the evangelists. For instance, the Gospels of Matthew (27:60), Mark (15:46 ) and Luke (23:53) narrate that the Body of Jesus, after his crucifixion was laid in a tomb 'hewn in the rock'. One is able to comprehend the narrative after reading Isaiah 53:9 (RSVCE):"And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death..."
I would like to quote the above as an example of events which the evangelists did not explicitly state to have happened in fulfillment of prophecies of OT. My question, therefore, is: has the Catholic Church made a list of events in the life of the Lord which took place in fulfillment of prophecies of the OT and which in fact, were not mentioned as such by the evangelists ?

Are there Old Testament references to the length of Jesus earthly ministry?
The Old Testament references [Jesus death and resurrection][1]. I've always wondered why did Jesus have only [3 years of time (or 3 1/2 )][2] as a preacher and teacher. I suppose you could say the time was enough to spread God's message. Is this duration predicted in the OT ? [1]: http://www.biblest...

Was there a reason Jesus came at the time he did?
Concerning what the Bible says, and what might be said in commentary from prominent church leaders, is there a particular reason Jesus came 2000 years ago and not at some other time. One would think the earlier, the better. If the question seems too broad, then just give me biblical support.

I'm trying to set up a database of cult (or masses) timetables all over the world, starting from Italy, and I would need some source where asking for timetables or grab the data about timetables.
I want to start from Italy, where I found the site of Rome diocese with all the curches infos, including masses timetables .
What I need is some site where I can find the name of the church and the schedule of the cults (or masses).
Does anybody know where to find any site (i.e. data-source) like the one I cited where I can grab data?
