What are the rules or guidelines on how a Christian should engage with others who would like to discuss philosophies, beliefs, ideas, and practices of other religions or belief systems?
- Are Christians allowed to discuss / engage in the ideas to some degree? Or is it shunned.
- How does Christianity incorporate ideas outside the main canon / system? _(Generally speaking)_
- Are certain topics to be never discussed?
This would help me ask better questions to the Christianity community in general, but also would serve as a gauge as to how to interact. Basically, what is acceptable conversation topics in the end.

What will Elijah's and Enoch's preaching look like?

Apoc. 11:3 :
>And I will give unto my two witnesses [Elias and Enoch], and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth
What exactly will their preaching look like, according to Catholic commentators? Will it involve modern communication technologies like the internet, radio communication, etc.? Or will it be strictly word-of-mouth preaching?

Every now and then, one comes across the sad news of the death of a young priest in road accident. Strangely, most of those accidents involve the two-wheeler motor vehicle the priest was riding on. One wonders why the Catholic Church, which spends precious resources in training a young man towards priesthood, cannot afford to provide to the parish priests, a four-wheeler, say car, which is less prone to accidents, in comparison to a two-wheeler. True, some parishes, especially those in developing countries, are poor and lack in infrastructure like well-laid roads. But in today's world of wider communication and crowd-funding, there are good prospects of setting up a corpus from which parish priests serving in areas where public transport is not easily available, can be provided with funds to purchase and operate a safe means of short-distance travel.
My question therefore is: **Has the Catholic Church ever thought of setting up of a corpus to fund the safe travel of parish priests within the territory of their service?**

How are Christians led by the Holy Spirit?
How does the Holy Spirit communicate God's will to Christians?
What mechanisms does the Holy Spirit employ to this end?
Since these are probably controversial questions, I'm interested in an overview of major perspectives and what groups hold each perspective.
___
**Appendix - NT passages about the lead of the Holy Spirit**
> *For **all who are led by the Spirit of God** are sons of God.* (Romans 8:14 ESV)
> *And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan **and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness***. (Luke 4:1 ESV)
> ***My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me**.* (John 10:27 ESV)
> *When the **Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth**, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.* (John 16:13 ESV)
> *But **the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you**.* (John 14:26 ESV)
> *Then **the Spirit said to Philip**, “Go up and join this chariot.”* (Acts 8:29 ESV)
> *While Peter was reflecting on the vision, **the Spirit said to him**, “Behold, three men are looking for you. But get up, go downstairs and accompany them without misgivings, for I have sent them Myself.”* (Acts 10:19-20 ESV)
> ***The Spirit told me** to go with them without misgivings. These six brethren also went with me and we entered the man’s house.* (Acts 11:12 ESV)
> *While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, **the Holy Spirit said**, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”* (Acts 13:2 ESV)
> *6 And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, **having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit** to speak the word in Asia. 7 And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, **but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them**. 8 So, passing by Mysia, they went down to Troas. 9 **And a vision appeared to Paul in the night**: a man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 **And when Paul had seen the vision**, immediately we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that **God had called us** to preach the gospel to them.* (Acts 16:6-10 ESV)
> *9 He had four unmarried daughters, who prophesied. 10 While we were staying for many days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. 11 And coming to us, he took Paul's belt and bound his own feet and hands and said, “**Thus says the Holy Spirit**, ‘This is how the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”* (Acts 21:9-11 ESV)

Our local mobile church leadership has proposed a merger with another local church.
Reasons cited were
a) pandemic meant they couldn't meet at the public school they had been using for 8 years so we would "get a permanent church home"
b) we are young families; they are older
c) we are better together than apart
What are some best practices to follow, especially that avoid respondent bias? Such as, what if people are loyal to the pastor, or feel left out of the conversation, or want to ask disruptive questions, or feel surprised, or excited, etc.
I have observed a church merger go poorly in the past because it was not handled well. It was a generational split. The reason by the younger leaders was that "the neighborhood is not like us" because of diversity so we "can't be effective in our outreach." The older generation wanted to stay.
The merged church received the money from the sale of the mergee building. The church merged after a split vote, and the younger leaders left to join larger churches, the older stayed or left. Now a few remain 20 years later.
My current nondenominational church in question, an elder model, began seeking this out 6 months ago, but didn't tell the congregation, wants to merge, and would take on the other church's denomination, Southern Baptist Convention.
My sense is that though they say we welcome questions, and "our values are aligned," we are "likeminded," that they are muting critique with code words for in-group.
The Pastor of my church will become lead pastor, and the new name will be our church's name. Both are financially solvent. The location will change to a different city, but about 15 minutes away. We originally joined partly because the pastor "felt called" to serve our current city.
My question is for why do churches merge?
Thank you for your time!

We read in Mtt 24:36 (NRSVCE):
>But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Here, Jesus does not mention Holy Spirit being privy to the `secret' about the end of the world which, according to the Lord, only the Father knows. That implies that there is communication going on among the three Persons of the Trinity, with the Will of the Father being revealed to the Son and the Holy Spirit at the ordained time. My question therefore is: What does the Catholic Church teach about the communication that takes place among the Persons of the Trinity ?
