I have come across this phrase "***A born-again Christian has a new nature that cannot sin***" (or other versions written differently but carrying the same implication). Here is one example from this site and here is another more fulsome treatment from an evangelical perspective. Does this mean a born-again Christian can not sin? If we can still sin, then what is the purpose of that nature if it can not shield us from sin? ***How would/does a nature like this make us different from Abraham, Noah, Job, David or Moses?***

Just a simple question: is the biblical idea of being born again compatible with eastern religious ideas of reincarnation?

Regeneration of the human spirit is a cornerstone doctrine of the New Testament, taught in Jesus’ famous **‘born again’** discourse with Nicodemus. (John 3) Likewise, St. Paul explains our restoration in scriptures such as Colossians 3:9-10. > “You have **put off the old self** with its practices and have **put on the > new self**, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its > creator.” Given that New Testament revelation finds its fountainhead in the Old Testament, was this experience explicitly promised by the prophets? And where in the Old Testament is the source of the doctrine of Regeneration?

I would like to know what Christianity says about the phoenix (also spelled phenix). Do Christians believe in such an immortal bird? Is there a biblical basis for belief in the phoenix?

This is by far one of the most profound questions in Christianity today. We have so many different denominations stating many different things. I know that this is a large debate, but go ahead and post your position alone. My question revolves around assurance for "born of the spirit." How can somebody be absolutely assured that they have the Holy Spirit living inside of them?
