Is it permissible to withhold very helpful advice

I took my SAT recently and scored well. When my friends asked for my score, I told them about it and they asked for books and plans of action for their SAT. Now although they are my friends, they're also competition for college seats, and I'd like not to create more competition for myself. Is it allowed to withhold the resources I used and my advice in this scenario?
