How is Jesus the ultimate Shepherd over David?
I hear this a lot between Jesus and David, both being shepherd. But how is Jesus the ultimate shepherd over David? Can you guys help me? I tried asking my pastors and they just say: "because He is God."

Who is the Lord of the Harvest?
Reflecting on Matthew 9:38, Matthew 10:1-42, and Luke 10:2, who is the Lord of the Harvest, God the Father or God the Son? Or both together along with the Holy Spirit due to the nature of the Trinity? Jesus in Matthew 9 says to pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send workers out into the harvest. In...
In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus had instructed his believers to pray to the Father. Then in Matthew 10, Jesus sends his disciples out into the harvest. This would seem to indicate that Jesus is the Lord of the Harvest, as he is answering this prayer and doing the sending. Was Jesus in an indirect way in Matthew 9 asking his disciples to pray to him? Or is the Father the Lord of the Harvest, who made the decision to send out laborers, told Jesus, and Jesus is merely revealing the Father’s decision? Please cite Reformed sources.

Although the N.T. often speaks of Jesus as the Son of God, what's significant about the way the Apostle John uses that title?
He refers to the Son of Man 12 times in his gospel, but Son of God (or its equivalent) 32 times. The synoptic gospels collectively use the term Son of God 36 times in all three accounts. This means that John’s gospel has a significant stress on Jesus as the Son of God. He gives a reason for that emp...

This means that John’s gospel has a significant stress on Jesus as the Son of God. He gives a reason for that emphasis in John 20:31 – > “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the > Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through > his name.” KJV **What are the ‘signs’ he gives in his gospel that point to Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God, and what would believing in Christ that particular way entail?** What belief, precisely? He surely wasn’t meaning just to rattle off the phrase, “Jesus Son of God” like a ritual mantra. **What does it mean to believe in Jesus as the Son of God, according to John?**

What evidence is there (if any) for the title 'Son of Man' in the New Testament to apply only to Jesus' earthly ministry to the Jews?
I've heard this said, and wonder if a study of ***the application of that title in the Synoptic Gospels*** supports such a theory? Is there any literature (books or articles) devoted to this, and (if so) can a synopsis of such be given by way of an answer? I'm scoping this for only consideration of...
I've heard this said, and wonder if a study of ***the application of that title in the Synoptic Gospels*** supports such a theory? Is there any literature (books or articles) devoted to this, and (if so) can a synopsis of such be given by way of an answer? I'm scoping this for only consideration of the Synoptic Gospel accounts regarding this, by those who accept that Jesus was uniquely designated "Son of Man" during his ministry on earth. Please note that this question is ***not*** wanting explanations of the history of that title - it seeks to **investigate the time period during which it applied to Jesus, and whether it applied only to his ministry to the Jewish nation during his ministry on earth**. I hope to ask a separate question on his other title (Son of God) later, and trust the two titles will not be conflated in answers here.
