As-salam aleykoum! I was wondering if it was permissible to use the expression "heaven-sent". I’m French, so I’m not that comfortable with English expressions. Since there is "heaven" in it, I don’t want to take it lightly. I did my researches, and found this definition: "occurring at a very favourable time; very opportune." But again, I don’t want to take it lightly and use such terminologies in inappropriate ways. There’s the word "heaven" in it, so… So I was wondering if it was okay to use this expression, given the definition. **Especially** in a situation in which you say that "you thought something was heaven-sent **but was not**". But… everything comes from Allah Azzawajal?? Would it be impermissible to say that? I’m thinking of it specifically on the linguistic aspect, like, if this expression is allowed to use from an Islamic perspective, given **this precise context**. So yeah… that was my question! Thanks for your replies! Edit: Hey, that makes me think of the expression "a match made in heaven". Any thoughts about it too??
