Is playing games with humans or living creatures in it haram?

Assalam allaikum, I have a question that came up to my mind when asking a question regarding video games. and I wanted to know if playing games that contain humans or other living creatures that are haram to draw haram to play? at first I didn't think this was haram because watching cartoons with living creatures isn't haram since you didn't make them according to sheikhs and scholars. I thought that video games may fall under the same concept but I wanted to confirm it first.
