Is using a microphone speaker system an innovation for Adhaan?

These types of arguments come up when discussing the Mawlid with a Muslim who believes it is not an innovation. However, likewise we use taps and showers for wudhu and ghusl but 1400 years ago they used their hands, a cup out of a tumbler or bucket of water to make those ablutions.
