For Pretrib believers, doesn't Luke 21:36 imply that Christians will go through the tribulation? If not please explain the meaning of this verse!

> Luke 21:36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” Doesn't the verse mean that we should pray to escape the tribulation and what does Jesus mean by "pray that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man"
