According to mainstream Christians, is it lawful for a born-again male Christian to wear an ear ring? The Bible seems to have warned against this practice through a letter Paul wrote to the church in Corinth. *1 Corinthians 6:9 (KJV)* > Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, **nor effeminate**, nor abusers of themselves with mankind It seems as if this is a warning to all male Christians to avoid effeminate habits which includes wearing ear rings and other behaviors associated with women, is that enough for male Christians who behave that way?

The first Christians such as Justin Martyr, the Church Fathers such as Augustine, the Reformers such as Luther were all anti-Semites. Why was that so? The concept of many are called but few are chosen is very alive in the Bible where Jesus says that no one can come to him unless God allows it. **Mathew 22:14** >Indeed many are called but few are chosen Also the verse that states that a man cannot receive anything unless it is granted to him from heaven including eternal life **John 3:27** >A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven. This two verses show that even for Christians they cannot come to God unless God already called them and no matter what they do, if God hasn't called them they won't be saved. So is there any circumstance where a believer can have the status of being called but not chosen ?
