Dream interpretation of black snake in bed and plant not growing when brought in room, what does it mean?

I had a dream where I went to my daughters room and it was very messy and she was sleeping in the bed with a blanket while a black name starts going over to her and she just adjusts the blanket with the snake on it as if she was sleeping with it or that it didn't waver her. along with this I had brought a plant to her room for some growth and freshness but it was stagnant and didn't grow.  My daughter has been complaining by the way about how nothing seems to go right for her in her academic life. There always seems to be a dead end or nothing goes right and shes exhausted. I'm not sure if it means anything.
