According to some Catholic traditions, the Rosary was given to Saint Dominic in a vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary and it was then promoted by Blessed Allan de la Roche.
But here I read
> Saint Peter Canisius, a Doctor of the Church, who is credited with
> adding to the Hail Mary the sentence "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray
> for us sinners", ...
which means it wasn't part of the original rosary.
What was the exact form of the original rosary given by Blessed Virgin Mary and who added **"now and the hour of our death"**?
