Genesis 6:6 "And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart."
To me this sounds like god was so overcome with sadness that he feels he has to destroy mankind as mentioned in the verse after. This moves God to flood the earth and spare noah, etc etc.
My question is. Did God regret his creation? How had humanity gotten to a point so beyond saving that God chose to wipe them out entirely and start anew. Like a clean slate.
