Can't grow a full beard due to injury and scar. What would it be suggested I do in Islam?

I have a scar that prevents me from growing a full beard. I was scarred as an infant, well before I could ever grow a beard. Essentially, underneath my chin I would I only grow hair on the left side. I stay clean shaven 100% of the time to minimize how noticeable the scar is. My understanding is that beards in Islam are either required or heavily implied as necessary. What would it be suggested I do?
How would this vary over different sects of Islam?
