Immediate life after death in Christ?

If there's immediate life after death in Christ, why in the second coming, will he raise those who died in Christ Jesus? John 11:25 >I am the resurrection & the life those who believe in me, even though they die will live. 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:16 >For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
