Is there any biblical support for copyright law?

There are people and organisations that state that copyright is wrong, and that copyright law should be *deprecated*. I think the same way but as a Christian I want to be sure that such thought is not be against the will of God. Would being an advocate for the deprecation or abolition of copyright law run contrary to any Biblical or Christian principals? Is there any justification for copyright stated in Bible or other Christian sources?
