A question on 'leadership'

Why is it common for pastors to advocate leadership (including their own) when it is easy to conclude that it is anti-biblical according to what Jesus had said? "Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ." - Matthew 23:10 NASB Note: some translations use "instructors" or "teachers" instead of "leaders" Clarification: I would like someone to try their best to explain the original context of what Jesus said here.
